Anacacho Orchid Tree (Bauhinia lunarioides) is a rare and beautiful small tree or shrub known for its delicate, orchid-like white to pale pink flowers and unique, deeply cleft leaves. Reaching 6-12 feet in height, this Texas native features silvery gray bark and fragrant blooms that attract bees and butterflies. Best suited to sheltered locations, such as the south side of buildings, it flourishes in rocky, limestone soils and is highly tolerant of heat and drought.
