Fig 'Brown Turkey'

Ficus Carica, Brown Turkey, is a fruit bearing fig tree known for it's winter hardiness. This variety produces two harvests yearly in late spring/early summer and again in late summer/early fall. The fruits are large and ripen to a brown color. This plant can be kept in a pot, though it will not get as big as it will in the ground. Plant this fig in well draining, slightly acidic soils rich in organic material.
